Stayed at Allson’s Inn and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient since it’s close to malls, restaurants, and other establishments in Cebu City. The staff were accommodating and friendly, and the room was comfortable for the price. The property is a bit old and could use some updates, but it’s a great budget-friendly option if you’re looking for a place to stay in the city. Would definitely consider staying here again. 😊
Honestly? Not bad at all! It is what it is for one of the cheapest private rooms with A/C and toilet you can find in Cebu. You can even go to the gym for a small fee and and order food directly to your room. Yes it doesn’t have WiFi in some of the room, yes the shower doesn’t drain well and yes the bedding could improve. Yet again, for this price it is worth it. And the costumer service I just find it fine. Polite and correct.
The staff is accommodating and friendly, the room is enough for the price while the food is good and served on time, the water dispenser is available also in every floor except on 4th floor where we are located but thats fine. I made a complain from my neighboring rooms due to unattended dog roaming on the lobby and they immediately made action on it. We went to rooftop and the view is good while we used to walk outside and infront of the building which is very safe and plenty of food vendors to choose.
The price is very good however you get what you pay for. Bathroom doesn’t drain water properly so you are left with a pool of water for the duration of your stay also note the bathroom is very small. The sheet comes of the mattress (which is more of a gym matt) very easily, also is very worn and can feel the top layer pulling away through the sheet. Overall it’s okay for the price, however would feel extremely disappointed if I were to pay more. If I were to stay in Cebu again I probably would opt to paying slightly more for something better.
Title: Cheap, but absolutely not worth the nightmare. Avoid at all costs. I booked a non-refundable, three-week weekday stay through Agoda purely because it was the cheapest option in the area. I deeply regret it. Management is completely inflexible and flat-out refused my request to cancel or modify my future bookings when I realized how bad it was. Horrific Odors & Pests: The bathroom constantly smelled like a mix of rotting animals, sewage, and stagnant water. Staff tried to mask this by spraying a nauseating amount of air freshener before I arrived. Because there are no window screens, the bathroom floor was completely covered in dead insects when I checked in at night. Filthy Conditions: The room was incredibly dirty with cracked floor tiles and harsh yellow lighting. It was obvious the bedsheets had not been changed from the previous guest, forcing me to bring my own linens for the remainder of my stay. Unmaintained AC: The air conditioning unit is packed with thick, visible chunks of dust. It looks like it has never been cleaned and blowing that dirty air into the room is a health hazard. No Internet: They advertise Wi-Fi, but there is absolutely no internet connection. Unless you have no other choice, definitely do not stay here. Update: I find your public offer for a refund disingenuous. I previously contacted your establishment in Agoda with proof of my current stay, requesting to cancel and rebook my reservation for next weeks to correct the number of guests. That request was rejected. Additionally, it is unreasonable to charge a 400 PHP daily fee for an extra guest but deny them a towel. Your front desk demanded an extra 50 PHP for a towel, which turned out to be thin and unabsorbent. It is disappointing that my concerns were only addressed after I posted a public complaint. I have attached screenshots proving: Agoda rejected my request to cancel and rebook next week’s stay to add an occupant. I provided proof of my current stay during that request. Your policies are rigid and unreasonable. Charging a 400 PHP daily extra person fee, but demanding an additional 50 PHP for a single, poor-quality towel, is unacceptable. I simply wanted to adjust my booking, but your lack of flexibility forced this issue.
