Basic-Fit Fitness Amsterdam Overtoom Ladies

I’ve been going here for over a year now and I really enjoy it! Great gym with a variety of machines and equipments. Always fresh and clean. Friendly and helpful staff - they even have personal trainers and a physio. The only tiny downside is their opening hours: I wish they had longer opening hours - especially in the weekends.

It was my first time at this fitness studio. The girl at the front desk was very helpful. She showed me around and answered my questions. There are a lot of devices for cardio, maybe too many.. instead i would have preferred to have the traditional chest press and smith machine. But overall the gym is fine! I expected worse because of all the comments i read online. But i liked it and the girls training were considerate as well.

Great value for money, seems clean, plenty of machines. To the staff, do you realise what you show on those TVs???? Not that i watch it, but when suddenly a pimple popper gets on screen... Is it so hard to just put on some music channels??? oh and closing on 4 on weekends.... ridiculous...

Inflexible, rude and absolutely unprofessional, especially the desk girl Sabrina, who: 1. refused to store my tiny gym bag behind the desk for a 45 min workout. She kept repeating "you have to buy a lock, buy a lock, buy a lock" - well I would have, as I explained to her, if I had money on me. Clearly, I would not leave my valuables in an unlocked cupboard in a gym with 50+ people around. I don't recommend this place to anyone, unless you really like rigidness and blindly following rules.
