Giardino Marling

Excellent owner-managed hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Merano. The well-tended garden and the wellness area as well as the various pools invite you to linger. The kitchen is creative and modern, the service very personal and friendly. The rooms are spacious and modern. We have been coming back to the Giardino (formerly Jagdhof) again and again since 2006.

As soon as we stepped into this beautiful and spacious hotel, we immediately felt a sense of new-found liberty! The incredible panorama is visible from practically every corner of the hotel: from our comfortable room to the exercise and spa area, to the breakfast & dining terrace, where we enjoyed fresh, delicious meals in a quiet and relaxing environment. One of my favorite spots was the sky pool, where I loved the sensation of “swimming in the sky” while enjoying the view of Merano and apple orchards below. The owners, managers and staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive to every single detail, making us feel very special indeed! Thank you Giardino!

Hotel is very nice! Rooms are great, lots of space and balcony/terrace has an amazing view of the valley. On the improvement side the jacuzzi was cold, room cleaning missed a few things and we had to call to get issues addressed, e.g. dirty glasses, shower gel not refilled, etc. All sorted in the end.
