The listing calls it "X-Factor Fitness," but the website is liftfactor.net and every recent reviewer calls it Lift Factor. Same address on N Demaree Street in Visalia. A new owner took over and rebranded, so if you're comparing the old name to the new sign, they're the same building.

What the reviews describe

This reads like a mid-sized independent gym that recently changed hands and invested. A February 2026 review is explicit: "the new owner has been super helpful. They added a keyless entry as well and new equipment." Keyless after-hours entry shows up again in a May 2026 note praising the "easy check in after hours." So the ownership change came with real upgrades, not just a new logo.

Size is a recurring theme, and reviewers frame it as a feature. One May 2026 visitor on a day pass wrote, "the gym was not too big and it wasn't crowded either which was a plus," then added the honest caveat: "there wasn't a lot of machines but if there was more it would feel crowded." That's a reviewer doing my job for me. Trade-off named, both sides stated. Another May 2026 review liked that "all the machines were organized into sections."

Where the voices agree

Cleanliness, friendly staff, and a workable equipment variety come up in nearly every review. A May 2026 note called it "absolutely the best gym in Visalia. Not too big or too small with a good variety of equipment." Trainers get specific praise too. A February 2026 member trains under a named coach and credited him directly. I'll leave the name out here, since a single member's shout-out isn't something to build a page around, but the coaching mentions are positive.

What that 4.4 measures

Here's the interesting gap. The written reviews I can read are all five stars and all recent, from February through June 2026, yet the overall sits at 4.4 across 194 ratings. That tells me the silent raters, the people who clicked a three or a four without writing anything, are pulling the average down below what the glowing text suggests. So the 4.4 is probably the more honest number. The written reviews capture the enthusiasm of new-owner regulars and day-pass visitors; the fuller sample of 194 lands a notch lower. Both are true.

What's missing

No review states a membership price or a day-pass rate, even the visitors who bought day passes. The posted hours run 4am to 10pm every day, which is generous, but confirm holiday hours. And I'd want to hear from a longtime member rather than mostly recent, post-rebrand voices, because the sample skews toward the honeymoon period after the ownership change.

Who it's not for

Anyone who needs a huge floor with deep machine redundancy. Reviewers like the compact size, but they also admit the machine count is limited. If you train at peak hours and hate waiting for a rack, visit first. A smaller gym feels great when it's empty and cramped when it's full.

FAQ

Is X-Factor Fitness the same as Lift Factor?

Yes. The address on N Demaree Street matches, the website is liftfactor.net, and recent reviewers call it Lift Factor after a change of ownership. "X-Factor Fitness" is the older listing name.

Can I get in after hours?

Multiple 2026 reviewers mention keyless entry and easy after-hours check-in added by the new owner. Confirm the access details when you sign up.

How much does it cost?

No review lists a price, including the ones who bought day passes. You'll need to ask directly for membership and drop-in rates.

Is it crowded?

Reviewers describe it as compact and usually not crowded, especially on weekends. A couple noted the machine count is limited, which could mean waits at peak times. Visit at your usual hour to judge.

We had a great experience working out here at lift factor. We came by for a day pass as we are new to town and the staff was very nice and friendly. The gym was not too big and it wasn’t crowded either which was a plus! They had a nice variety of machines and had a variety of weights from kg to lbs. I will say though there wasn’t a lot of machines but if there was more it would feel crowded. We came during the weekend and it was not busy at all. Overall we had a great workout and would definitely return.

Great gym and equipment and the new owner has been super helpful. They added a keyless entry as well and new equipment. Staff is super friendly and the trainers are great at what they do. I’ve been training under David Wilt there and he’s honestly the best. The guy will push you 💪🏾
