Nuffield Health Friern Barnet Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

A great place to relax and workout, very friendly staffs, I was there as a visitor and the lady helped me with my day pass, I wish I could remember her name ,she was very professional and super kind. however I still agree for the price they are asking they need to refurbish some of the equipment and need more staff on the floor to deliver a even better customer service.

Incredibly welcoming and helpful start to a new gym. Professional, knowledgable staff and a great informative introduction by the manager Sally. Excellent facilities and all in one place makes for an easy way to get fit. Clean and good changing areas. Numerous classes with excellent trainers, a superb pool, sauna and steam room and free tea and coffee as a bonus! Free parking an added bonus.

State of the art gym, if that art is 15th century Renaissance. The machines are old, the changing room are tired, the showers grim. They took it over from Virgin a few years ago and have invested as little as possible. Trading on a good location but sooner or later they'll need to invest or die because people will start leaving (or the place will just crumble)

Terrible, horrible, old and outdated gym. Service is poor rate, lazy and miserable. Nuffield should be embarrassed or don’t care as was better as virgin. They charge for paper cups for hot drinks and provide only one old towel for showers. Staff are poorly trained, unprofessional, diabolical and turn around is high but one lady has been there for more than 11yrs!!! How depressing!!! No investment in the gym at all, it has the same limited, broken equipment for over 10 years. The changing rooms, showers and pool area are dirty and disgusting and you are likely to contract some disease from there. No wonder no one comes to this gym or joins the gym as they asking for membership prices of a first rate gym but provide a third rate service. Stay well away and join Virgin, David Lloyd or even Pure Gym. Plenty of better choices than this garbage!

Lockers filthy. Managers ignores comment cards. £80/month membership. Shower towels are tiny. Charged for 2nd towel. Shaving mirror not replaced. x-trainer broken for 1 month. Staff never on gym floor. Paper towels not always replenished. Some essential kit missing. This place was better run under Virgin Active. Get your act together Nuffield!
