Highly recommend this place for a workout. It's located on the 3rd floor of the building. Staff is super friendly. The place is very lively. There seems to be a class every hour. There's not a lot of weights or machines, but enough to get a few targeted workouts in. They have protein bars, protein powder, protein drinks for sale at the counter. 1) pay at the machine. 800y for day pass 2) ask the clerk to rent shoes. 400y for rental 3) bring 100y for a locker. There's a coin exchange machine if you don't have coins. They're very strict about when to wear each type of shoes (indoors, outdoors) so make sure you follow signage.

Municipal sports complex in a nice neighborhood. The building seems very new and clean. 8 floors total. I came here for table tennis ping pong on a Sunday morning. For a fixed price of 800 yen, you could play all day. They have about 15-20 tables and all levels and a few tables with very high level players like 2000–2500. I’m around 1200-1600. Lots of people my level. I don’t speak Japanese. The staff at the lobby and on the 3rd floor reception spoke enough English for me to get to the 8th floor for ping pong. The lady in charge was nice but she had to use Google Translate. I used Apple live translation and it was very helpful. I found people my level to play with and had a lot of fun for the 2 hrs I stayed. They also have badminton, volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming pool, gym. Key is to remember to bring a spare pair of shoes as the culture in Japan is all about outdoor shoes not allowed inside. So keep that in mind. I wish they had sanitizer wipes to clean the bottom of your shoes as an easy fix for visits who didn’t bring a spare pair of shoes. But they do have shoe rental on the 3rd floor. I had my tennis sneakers on and didn’t notice the sign so I just wiped the bottom on the carpet and nobody noticed said anything. I was visiting Tokyo for only 2 nights and I randomly found this place based on a google search and couldn’t have been happier. They also had non Japanese players from China, US, India, France — so language wouldn’t be an issue if you are just patient and resourceful.

Whole building sports center with basketball courts, badminton courts, indoor and outdoor running course, gym, indoor swimming pools, climbing gym, multipurpose arenas, and much more! Costs 800 yen per entry, and 500 yen if you live or work at Minato-ku. Everything is clean and well maintained. There are also playgrounds and restaurants nearby, great for families and weekends well.

If you live in Minatoku the price is really great. The gym is never properly cooled. The AC is really weak so I have gotten dizzy a few times and had to stop my workouts. Especially since there is a no tattoo rule, it gets very hot in warmer weather with arms and legs fully covered. If they could make the place cooler I would rate it 5 stars.

Entrance fees 800Yens on 3rd floor for the day (if not going out) - table tennis on 8th floor - shower room etc .., Badminton on the next room (separated). Crowded from PM7:30~PM9:00, usually there is a lottery to get 1 table ... That means even you pay entrance fee 800Y, you are not sure at all to play ! Lottery is renewed every 1h. So you might just wait 1h the next lottery, and maybe never play if you loose every time to get a table. When there are more people than tables, a lottery determine who can play for 1 hour. But this lottery is quite not appropriate : for example, unfair players come at 3 (5) people, they get 2(3) tables at lottery (because 5 players participate to lottery) but eventually 1 table is occupied by only 1 person, rather than 2 players (as impair umber of player). So if you are coming with a partner (2 person), and send 1 person to lottery and he/she fails in lottery, you can just watch 1 table occupied by a lucky lottery player, who is just not playing because he is just alone ! So be aware that this place is crowded in the evening, and rules are not so fair sometimes. If you come in day time, I think there are more tables than players, so there is no lottery. Be careful in the evening time. Better consider another place with eventually some possible reservations.
