Fizkul'turno-Ozdorovitel'nyy Kompleks

!, Russia

Fizkulturno-Ozdorovitelnyy Kompleks (a fitness and wellness complex) in St. Petersburg shows 4.3 from 202 reviews, and its five written reviews - several originally in Russian, translated here - describe a well-run, professionally staffed sports complex, though at least one visitor found the cost startling by comparison to what he was used to.

A Direct Price Comparison From an International Visitor

Philip Herring's review is short but pointed: "Nice place but very expensive. About 5x what I would pay in the US!" I'd flag that direct comparison as worth weighing against the more positive local accounts below - pricing that reads as expensive to a visiting American may reflect a genuinely different local pricing structure or membership tier, worth confirming directly rather than assuming it applies to standard local rates.

A Detailed, Practical Account of the Pool Facility

Ole Bel's review (translated from Russian) covers logistics directly: "Convenient, clean, warm. We go to the pool with a subscription. You can check all your things into the coat check in a bag or sack. Personally, for us there are no downsides." That specific, practical detail about storage options is useful for anyone planning a pool visit here.

A Specific, Practical Complaint About Children's Subscriptions

Sergey Potapov's review (translated from Russian) raises a concrete access issue: "Everything is great, good trainers, pleasant atmosphere. But the line for children's subscriptions forms a month before they go on sale." That's a specific, actionable detail - worth planning well in advance if you're trying to enroll a child here.

Years of Loyalty, Across Both Gym and Group Classes

Alisa Avdeeva's review (translated from Russian) adds real weight through tenure: "I've been coming here for many years - both to the gym and to group classes - the trainers are all great and highly professional, and overall the atmosphere in the club is very good." Multi-year attendance across both individual gym use and group classes suggests real, sustained satisfaction rather than a single strong first impression.

A Specific Detail About Sponsorship and Competitive Events

Alexander Panov's review (translated from Russian) adds unusual, specific context: "The complex is well located, accessible. Everything necessary for a healthy lifestyle is available. Training sessions are held in various sports. Very good complex. Thanks to Gazprom. Sambo competitions are held." That mention of Gazprom sponsorship and hosted Sambo competitions is a specific, distinctive detail - suggesting this complex has real institutional backing and hosts genuine competitive events, not just member workouts.

What's Missing

No review states exact pricing beyond Philip's general comparison to US costs. Nothing confirms whether the month-long wait for children's subscriptions Sergey described has since changed.

Who It's Not For

Anyone expecting US-comparable pricing - at least one international visitor found costs notably higher than what he was used to. Anyone trying to enroll a child on short notice, given one reviewer's account of subscriptions requiring a month's advance planning due to demand.
