Excellent stay! The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The breakfast offered a huge variety of high-quality options, with something for everyone. Our room wasn’t very large, but it was beautifully designed, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Great location and very helpful staff! The room was comfortable and inviting, and great air conditioning to help cool off. Nice to have a lovely balcony to enjoy the window of cooler weather in the morning. Love the old quarter for all the life right outside the door. The staff helped to set up airport transfer which made arriving so easy! Would definitely stay here again and totally fell in love with Hanoi!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. The facilities were excellent, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The room was comfortable, clean, and provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was another major highlight, offering easy access to nearby attractions while still providing a peaceful environment. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and the cleanliness of both the room and the common areas was consistently impressive. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. They were warm, friendly, and always willing to assist with a smile. In particular, the Manager on Duty, Hannah, was exceptional. She listened attentively to the feedback we shared and immediately took action to address our concerns. More importantly, she ensured that we left the hotel feeling happy and valued as guests. Her commitment to service did not end at check-out—she continued to follow up and extend her assistance even after we had left the hotel. This level of professionalism, care, and genuine hospitality is rare and deserves special recognition. The only area where the hotel could improve is value for money. While the overall experience was excellent, the price was slightly on the higher side compared to what was offered. Nevertheless, the quality of the facilities, comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service made for a memorable stay. Overall, I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thanks to the excellent team—especially the Manager on Duty—we would certainly consider returning in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at May De Ville Lakeside Hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for families visiting Hanoi. The location is absolutely perfect — you are right in the heart of the Old Quarter, essentially zero minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake and all the main attractions, restaurants, and lively streets in the area. We are a family of five and stayed here for two nights immediately after landing in Vietnam. We wanted somewhere comfortable and convenient where we could settle in, recover from the long flight and jet lag, and get our first taste of Hanoi before continuing our trip south. This hotel was perfect for exactly that. The staff were amazing — genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and both the breakfast and hotel facilities were very good. Another small but extremely convenient bonus is having a 7-Eleven directly across from the hotel, which was especially useful when traveling with kids. Overall, the value for money is excellent. Great location, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, and everything you need right outside the door. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend May De Ville Lakeside Hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable base in central Hanoi.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at May De Ville Hotel in Hanoi was very disappointing. I specifically chose this hotel because one of the advertised benefits was early check-in. Despite arriving as planned, we were told to wait until the regular check-in time unless we paid an additional fee. What made this even more frustrating was watching other guests receive their rooms before us. If early check-in is advertised as a benefit, it should be honored when possible—not turned into an opportunity to charge extra. The room itself was another major disappointment. It had no windows, making it feel dark, cramped, and far from what you would expect from a hotel claiming to be five stars. The shower was extremely small and uncomfortable to use, and noise from outside and neighboring rooms made it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards of a true 5-star property. Between the misleading early check-in promise, the attempt to charge extra, windowless rooms, poor sound insulation, and undersized bathroom, I cannot recommend staying here. There are many better options in Hanoi that offer much better value and a more honest guest experience.
