Robbie's Boxing Academy is on Binley Road in Coventry. It holds a 4.6 rating from 10 Google reviews.
Ten ratings, four short reviews, spread from July 2015 to August 2020. The newest is nearly six years old, and the oldest is eleven.
That's a thin record with a long tail, and I'm not going to pad it. But there's one thing in it worth reading.
Eleven Years Of The Same Answer
A member in July 2015: "Fantastic trainer. Had the pleasure of training with Robbie for 12 months. Very passionate about what he does and will push anyone to achieve their goals."
A member in August 2017: "Great trainers and classes. Always make you feel welcome and you get a great workout."
A member in August 2019: "Great boxing experience with male and female professional trainers."
A member in August 2020: "Thank you guys, you always make me feel welcome and reassure me every time when I feel like I fail."
Read those in order. Welcome, welcome, reassure. Across five years, three different people describe the same thing: being made to feel all right in a boxing gym.
That last one is the most useful sentence here. "Reassure me every time when I feel like I fail" is not a phrase you'd expect from a boxing academy review, and it tells you more about the room than any equipment list could.
The Detail Worth Noting
The August 2019 member mentions "male and female professional trainers."
That's the only staffing fact on the record beyond Robbie's name, and it's a relevant one. If you'd rather be coached by a woman, or you're wondering whether women train there at all, somebody has answered that.
What This Page Can't Tell You
Everything else. No opening hours on the listing. No phone number. No website. No prices. No class times. Nobody says whether it's a fitness-boxing gym or one that produces fighters.
Four reviews across eleven years is what a small, word-of-mouth club looks like: people train there for years and never think to post. The 4.6 is a whisper.
I could stretch this to six hundred words by speculating about what a Coventry boxing academy probably offers. You'd learn nothing, and I'd be making it up.
Who It's Not For
Anyone wanting a gym floor. This is boxing coaching.
Anyone who needs to know the schedule before turning up, because this record genuinely can't tell you and there's no number to call.
