Mörrumsån is one of Sweden's most famous waterways, especially world-renowned for sport fishing. The river flows through Småland and Blekinge before flowing into the Baltic Sea at the town of Mörrum. The river is known for its extremely large fish. Salmon weighing over 25 kg and sea trout weighing over 13 kg have been caught here. The Mörrumsån offers a fantastic and varied nature with everything from lush deciduous forests to dramatic streams. The northern parts of the river are popular for canoeing and kayaking, where calm sections are mixed with more challenging rapids.
