Villardo Jiu-Jitsu Academy

If you, or your kids are interested in Jiu-Jitsu, you have to come and try a class. Professor Monahan has decades of martial arts experience, and is all about creating a positive environment for all. His technical knowledge of BJJ is phenomenal, and anyone can get in better shape and learn valuable self-defense. No matter how old or young, it's always a great time to learn Jiu-Jitsu. I always base myself on reviews before visiting a place, so I did the same before trying this academy for my 5 year old twin boys, now we've been here for a month and we love it! My boys have never been so engaged in any sport like they have been with jiu jit su, is a very healthy family environment, we really enjoy seeing the progress and how much fun and knowledge this brings to their lives..... we were concerned about joining during a pandemic, but I think everyone is trying hard to keep it safe & clean.....

Professor Monahan is so talented and patient. The culture that he has created with the other high belts is excellent. I can't imagine a more constructive learning environment. I've been training for a few months and am amazed at how much there is to learn. So much fun while getting an amazing workout. Much better than lifting weights. Thank you Professor!

Professor Monahan is the man! I've been training here for years, and now that he's teaching full time, I've upped my attendance. Can't recommend training at Villardo Jiu-Jitsu enough. The community is positive and extremely friendly. Egos are left at the door. You'll train with all skill levels and learn something new every time.

Professor Monahan is the new owner of this school. His professionalism and knowledge of jiu Jitsu is wonderful. He is able to easily communicate the moves and demonstrate the techniques in a way that's easy for my children to understand! If I could give 6 stars I would.
