Acceleration Kozoris Strength & Conditioning

Kamloops, Canada

A 5.0 you should read carefully, not just admire

Nineteen reviews, every one of them five stars. That's a spotless average, and small numbers deserve a second look before you trust them. Here's the math I'd want you to see: with 19 ratings all at five, a single one-star review would drop this to about 4.8. One unhappy person moves the whole picture. So treat the score as "no public complaints yet," not as proof of perfection.

What the reviews describe is a strength-and-conditioning facility built around coached, customized programming rather than a walk-in floor. The most telling review, from June 2019, praises something most gyms never mention: "They even want doctor approval before creating programs for people with injuries. The fact they remain that professional and recognize where there knowledge is and isn't is rare in this industry." That's a coach turning business away for safety reasons. Whether or not you need that, it tells you what kind of place this is.

What you're actually buying

This isn't a swipe-your-card-and-wander setup. Reviewers talk about programs made for them and updates over time. The same June 2019 member wrote, "Got an amazing program for an even better deal... Will keep getting updated customized programs to follow from Greg." A March 2019 review does mention 24-hour access - "Love the 24 hr fob too!" - alongside "top notch facilities" and a welcoming crowd. So there's a self-serve door element on top of the coaching.

When a place scores this high on a selective, coaching-first model, the selection is doing part of the work. People who commit to custom programming and show up tend to be happy. That's honest, but it's a different signal than a big-box average built from thousands of casual drop-ins.

The gap I can't ignore

Look at the dates. The reviews I can see run from July 2017 to November 2019, and then they stop. That's a trail that ends right at the edge of 2020. I'm not going to tell you why, because I don't know - a facility can go quiet on Google for a dozen reasons that have nothing to do with closing. What I can say is that the shape of this record is "active through 2019, then silent on the reviews I can read." Before you drive over, call and confirm they're still open and taking members. Don't let an old five-star glow stand in for a phone call.

What's missing

No prices anywhere, and "an even better deal" tells you nothing you can budget against. No published hours beyond the 24-hour fob mention. No class schedule, no headcount, no detail on the equipment itself. The listing has a website but no phone number, so plan to dig for contact details.

Who it's not for

Anyone who wants an anonymous, month-to-month gym they can quit by app. If you bristle at a coach asking about injuries or doctor sign-off, the intake here will feel like too much. Casual lifters who just want a room and a barbell may find the whole model heavier than they need.

FAQ

Is this a regular gym or a coaching studio?

It reads as a strength-and-conditioning facility centered on customized, coached programs, with 24-hour fob access mentioned by one reviewer. It's not described as a big open-floor gym.

Can I trust the perfect 5.0 rating?

Read it as clean rather than flawless. With only 19 all-five reviews, one honest one-star would pull the average to roughly 4.8. Small samples move fast.

Are they still open?

The visible reviews stop around late 2019, which is only a gap in the public record, not evidence of closing. I'd call to confirm current status and membership before visiting.

Love it! Got an amazing program for an even better deal. They even want doctor approval before creating programs for people with injuries. The fact they remain that professional and recognize where there knowledge is and isn't is rare in this industry. Will keep getting updated customized programs to follow from Greg.

Los runs an amazing gym and he values every single member. Both my kids love going there and taking part in any of his pro. I would never think about sending them anywhere else!
