Funis Ems Training - Gym in Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland, New Zealand

Funis EMS Training in downtown Auckland shows 4.8 from 42 reviews, and its five written reviews consistently describe a 20-minute EMS format with named trainers credited for both physical results and genuine, sustained motivation over multiple years.

A Detailed Account of Building From Laziness to Regular Attendance

Esther Teng's review is the most candid here: "Thank you to the team at Funis for helping me with my fitness journey! I tried Funis because I was too lazy to work out, and before I realised it, I'd been going regularly for over a year. Each workout is just 20 minutes, but I still get the same burn as a 60-minute session, or more. Perfect for my lazy bum!" I'd flag that self-described starting point directly, since a reviewer honestly framing herself as someone who avoided exercise, then sustaining regular attendance for over a year, is a more credible signal than a review from someone who was already motivated from the start.

A Detailed Account of Two Years of Sustained Commitment

Emily Ngai's review offers the longest documented tenure in this set: "Been going to Fu/nis for over 2 years, and it has been the best decision I've made. The session is only 20 minutes and you're done. The trainers are fabulous. They know what they are doing. Highly recommended to everyone." I'd treat that two-year duration as a meaningful signal of consistent value, since EMS studios can sometimes see novelty wear off after the first few months.

A Detailed Account of Named Trainers and Body Transformation

Milinda Kohler's review names two specific trainers directly: "Love my sessions with Sasha and Alex. They are very supportive, patient but tough. The transformation after 6 month training is amazing. Never thought I would love weight training so much." I'd note that "patient but tough" balance directly, since it's a specific description of a coaching style that pushes without being harsh, which several other reviewers echo in different words.

Additional Accounts of Confidence and Effectiveness

Danielle Peck's review describes noticeable improvements in body tone, fitness, and energy after two months of twice-weekly sessions, specifically crediting trainers for making her feel both comfortable and empowered to push herself further than she expected. Winnie Luo's review adds a similar account, describing the short sessions as genuinely effective and the trainers as professional and personable.

What's Missing

No review states exact session or membership pricing. Nothing here confirms whether Sasha and Alex, named specifically by one reviewer, are the only trainers on staff, since other reviewers describe positive experiences without naming a specific individual.

Who It's Not For

Anyone looking for a long, varied traditional gym session, since every review here describes a consistently short, 20-minute EMS format rather than an extended workout. Anyone who needs exact pricing before booking, since no review gives a specific figure.

fu/nis is a fantastic place to work out in the central city. 20 mins truly is enough. I've been doing two sessions a week for the past two months, and I've noticed a large positive difference in my body tone, fitness, and energy levels. All of the trainers are absolutely fantastic, and make me feel not only comfortable, but empowered, to push myself and do more than I ever thought possible!
