Christmas Day 2025 Had the most wonderful lunch at Lew Hoad tennis centre. We booked last minute but the team were incredible. The venue looked magical, the food, drinks and service were fantastic couldn’t fault a single thing. Super value too. Thanks to the team for a really special experience.

Lew Hoad was just incredible! The team took care of absolutely everything related to our reception and after party 🎉! From the setup, service, details, and timing to ensuring our guests were happy and well taken care of. They’re professionalism, attention to detail, and calm demeanor made the entire evening flow perfectly. We even through some random last minute things and they took on the task with grace. We felt completely confident knowing they were managing things behind the scenes. The staff was lovely, each member calling us by name in every interaction ✨ Everything looked amazing, the service was seamless, the food was INCREDIBLE and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Lew Hoad and Team for helping make our celebration unforgettable!

I booked 7 private tennis lessons here while we were on holiday in the area. The communication beforehand was fast and clear. The club itself has a wonderful, authentic charm. All the staff I met were incredibly friendly, and the small office at the entrance is well-organised. The coaches are excellent; I had two different ones and learned a lot from both. The court I played on was slightly worn but still perfectly good to play on. A huge plus was the club's flexibility: having our lessons at 8 AM, even before official opening hours, was absolutely no problem. It was the perfect way to play before it got too hot, especially as my court had no shade. The club is easy to reach from the motorway with plenty of parking, and it was very convenient to pay by cash or card after each session. Highly recommended!

We celebrated our wedding last week at Club Lew Hoad and wow what an amazing experience! We are still on such a high from the day🥰. We both live in Scotland but dreamed to get married abroad to celebrate our love of travel and to make the wedding a more relaxed and enjoyable event. My mother and I visited the venue in November 2023 and without even having met any of the wedding planning team we knew instantly this was the place we were going to have the wedding. The gardens and surroundings are so beautiful but the stunning lily pond aisle was what amazed us and really sold it to me. After contacting the wedding planning team and speaking to Celia and Sandra I was very confident in their professionalism and organization. There were times I worried due to living so far away, however Celia and Sandra solved any doubts and I had my full trust in them🤍. The wedding day itself ran so smoothly. The quantity and quality of the food and drink was outstanding! So many of our guests have stated that the Malaga Beef is one of the best meals they have ever enjoyed!! The staff were all so friendly and attentive, even when dealing with drunk guests 🤣😳. They really all are a credit to Club Lew Hoad! For myself the value for money was incredible as a wedding at home in Scotland would be 2-3x the price. So many of our guests have said this was the best wedding they have attended. We are really so grateful to all the staff at Lew Hoad for making this happen. We can't wait to revisit again one day, thank you for making our wedding a dream 🤍 Eve and Stephen 22-07-25

SPANISH ONLY. NO IRISH/ ENGLISH....We arrived at our local villa first night of our 7day stay. Host and accommodation were fantastic. We were recommended the local tennis club and we had seen that is was nearby also. We went to the tennis/padel club at around 8.45pm on Tuesday the 4th/August/26. It was still very warm/bright somewhwere local to experience 10mins away. We were aware that is was closed at 10pm. Our son has played padel many times before in Ireland and was intrigued. We arrived there it looked lovely, the surroundings, table settings, everything, we ordered a few drinks to sit out and enjoy the evening. Beautiful. We went back to the bar to order our last drinks at 9.30pm🫣 the female hostess told me the bar was closed.. this was a shock as we were aware it was 10pm. When I was walking back to our table, I saw at least 10 to 15 people approaching the bar, they were served drinks🤔 they had played tennis/paddle fair enough. I returned to the bar and waited until she had served everyone. Then followed a weird google translate conversation with the hostess where I was still told the bar was still closed🤔This was 9.42pm. I asked 'how is the bar closed after people were being served" 'all i got was shrugged shoulders, this very disappointing and almost discriminatory as i spoke english. I resorted to Google translate again and asked for the manager (this wouldn't be my usual protocol but this was "actually" shocking). Without hesitation she took my order, a glass of wine a beer and a fanta for our son. I even told her through Google translate that we 'wouldn't be long". SHOCKING first night experience in Mijas. If your not Spanish don't go here, they obviously dont rely on summer trade from abroad. I have spent thousands on this holiday, im up by our pool writing this review with my vino tinto (red wine) still on the 4th/August/2026 23.20. I'll be telling our villa host also in the hope that it filters back through local knowledge. SHOCKING... go elsewhere.
