Big gym with 3 or 4 floors and beautiful swimming pool. I like it
Happy to call this place my gym for the 6 months I lived in Buenos Aires. Not the newest or biggest or shiniest but definitely gets the job done. Staff is professional and courteous. Reasonable monthly rates. You will need to get a doctors inspection [apto fisico] but they can do it there for a small fee. Clientele is serious about fitness but not uptight. Has a pool [which I never used] and it seems fairly popular. Lots of cardio machines and a varied class schedule. No lockers available but you can check your stuff with an attendant in the locker room. Convenient to the B Subte if you are in Villa Crespo or downtown.
Very bad experience. An hour of standing in line at the cash register to buy a subscription for a month, a lot of paperwork, a long registration process even though we clearly stated that we were only interested in a subscription to the gym and swimming pool without a trainer, for one month. we had the cash calculated in advance (we checked the price on the website). The whole process is over, the cashier took the money from us, entered our details and finally tells us that we need to register with a doctor and after visiting the doctor we can only start attending and using the subscription. There is no option to start using the subscription without an examination by a doctor, and the examination costs an additional 7,500 pesos. HIDDEN COST! It's not mentioned anywhere on the website, and the cashier didn't mention it to us when signing the contract! We went to others gyms in BA and this is only one which asked for this ridiculous thing! An additional 7,500 pesos on top of the 24,000 pesos for a month pass is a lot!
The girls at the reception didnt want to tell me the subscription cost they were pointing to the cashier that I need to stand in line behind 2 others for asking the price.
