Urban Krag Climbing Center

I have been coming here off and on for over a year. I was brand new to climbing and have found UK to be a great place to learn. The staff & owner have always been helpful and friendly. I was honestly really surprised to see negative reviews because I've only had positive experiences at UK. I definitely suggest giving it a try and not being dissuaded by reviews (some of which seem to be written by people who have never even been there).

I may not have met the person so many are complaining about - I've been to many gyms and even owned my own; this place has a great vibe, great setting, cool natural features and friendly staff/patrons. Really pleasantly surprised.

I've been climbing for 6 years and have been to dozens of gyms. Of every gym I have ever been to this one is by far the worst. Holds aren't screwed properly into the wall, the setting is awful, the management is stingey and the facility is absolutely disgusting. If this was the last rock climbing gym on earth, I would probably play soccer. Wish I could give it 0 stars, whatever you do don't come here not worth your time. If you are trying to climb, it's worth driving to either mosaics near Cincinnati or vertical adventures in Columbus!

We visit family in New Carlisle several times each year and always make a point to climb each visit with groups of up to 12. The owner has consistently been so rude and the routes so uninspiring that we have given up on UK and now drive an extra 45 min to Cinci for better climbing and for management that treats us like they appreciate our business.
