Great park with plenty of free parking, and it's really clean - perfect for taking kids here.

Visited Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre today (25 April at around 13:15) with my son and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Firstly, I was charged £6 after initially being told £10, despite usually paying around £2 as a member, while my son is normally admitted free. This inconsistency needs clarification. More importantly, I asked a lifeguard for a swimming noodle to support my son, who is still learning to swim. I was told “I’m not allowed to give any equipment”, which is surprising as we have always been provided with one during previous visits. Without this basic support, my son was unable to safely use the pool and we had to leave after just a few minutes. Swimming noodles are not toys, but essential aids for beginners. Staff should be clear and consistent about whether they can be provided, especially when it affects a child’s ability to safely access the pool. I hope management can clarify both pricing and policy, and ensure staff are properly informed to avoid situations like this in the future.

Where do I begin! 1. Changing facilities - 3 showers ( 1 disabled) 2 of which are situated in the female toilets had no head on and just sprayed and lasted all of 5 seconds. No use to anyone! 2. Floors covered with muddy/ sandy footprints which were visible on arrival and still visible when leaving the pool to get dressed. Attendants hadn't been through the changing room when off poolside! 3. Baby changing tables slim to non! Situated next to the disabled changing room. No strap! As a parent of 3 young children be able to secure atleast 1 child would be a bonus and also a safety feature required. ATTENTION NEEDED! 4. Female sinks stained with yellow markings. For a new facility this is very shoddy. 5. Toilet seats not secured in female bathroom. 6. Lifeguards on poolside- a group of teens were being rather boisterous and and foul loud language and not one LG said anything. Fun sessions are for family's too! When exiting the facility I asked the centre receptionist "how often do the changing room floors get squidgied? She did not know! Loan behold the centre manager was stood next to her. Her response was 'its been a really busy swimming session.' I for one know that was not a busy session being from a Leisure background. Fobbing me off didn't work! Whilst talking to the manager a LG appeared from poolside and just stood there doing nothing. Changing rooms could have been cleaned during this time. Lifeguards should be maintaining cleanliness of the facilities once they have been relieved of their duties on poolside. This clearly hasn't happened!

Bamber bridge has just had a refurb in the gym and all they have done is paint the machines and service them! Maybe 1 or 2 new cardio equipment. I thought they would have made the layout bigger or out least tried to. You can never get on any of the machines/dumbells because the football kids from the academy are always in there unsupervised and just on there phones not really doing anything its a joke. The rest of us have jobs and rely on getting in and out before or after work when these are in you have no chance getting that work out in. Something needs to be done my partner was a member and she cancelled because she was sick of not being able to get on what she wanted and when here is 10 or more of them in she felt intimidated. Sort it out.
