Euphoria Health and Fitness in Cleveland shows 4/5 from 9 reviews, and its five written reviews, spanning 2015 to 2019, describe a gym known specifically for a distinctive outdoor obstacle course, alongside one serious, detailed complaint about that same course's apparent abandonment on a later visit.

A Serious Complaint About an Unstaffed, Deteriorated Obstacle Course

Deanna Asel's review, from July 2018, is the most detailed and concerning here: "Went to Euphoria with my boyfriend to use their obstacle course to practice for an upcoming obstacle race and we both were very disappointed. We went last year and used this course and it was great, something obviously changed. We went inside to check in and there was no people inside the gym at all. We waited there for a while and still no one was in the facility to check us in to the course. We actually had called ahead and confirmed coming the previous day. After waiting for about 20 minutes confused, we proceeded up to the obstacle course in hopes of finding someone and the course looked completely abandoned and not kept up on set all. It looked completely neglected when last year it was great. We decided to leave and would not go back unless something significant changes. Highly caution people that consider going to use their obstacle course." I'd flag that direct year-over-year comparison and confirmed advance booking specifically, since it describes a documented decline from a genuinely positive prior visit, not a first impression, and the confirmed advance call rules out simple scheduling confusion on her part.

A Detailed Account of a Named Trainer's Personalized Program

Ed Flynn's review, from April 2015, describes a specific transformation at age 53: "I started at Euphoria about five months ago, I'm 53 years old and I was never one to have a regular exercise routine. I was introduced to James at my initial start, and he quickly developed a routine just for me based on my goals and my current condition. James will assure that your routine, form and speed as well as the weight you're working with is correct, and he can also provide advice on your diet as well. I'm already seeing results and I plan on continuing this new relationship for years to come." I'd note that this review predates Deanna's complaint by roughly three years, so I wouldn't assume the same level of trainer attention and organization was still in place by the time of her visit.

Additional Accounts of the Obstacle Course and General Training

Garianne Redden's review, from October 2016, specifically recommends the outdoor obstacle course for anyone interested in triathlon or Iron Man race training, describing it as a distinctive spin on fitness. Ciecie Newson's review, the most recent in this set, keeps things brief, describing enjoyment of spinning classes and a favorite instructor. Blaire Weseling's review, from November 2017, describes starting at the gym at age 16 and reaching her best physical shape thanks to professional, caring trainers and challenging but motivating classes.

What's Missing

Nothing here confirms whether the obstacle course's apparent abandonment, described in July 2018, was temporary or reflects an ongoing decline, since no review after that date is available in this set to confirm current conditions. No review states exact membership pricing.

Who It's Not For

Anyone planning a visit specifically for the outdoor obstacle course without confirming its current condition directly first, given at least one detailed, serious complaint about it appearing abandoned and neglected on a confirmed, pre-arranged visit. Anyone who needs current, up-to-date confirmation of staffing and hours before visiting, since the most recent written review here is from February 2019.

FAQ

Is the outdoor obstacle course reliably staffed and maintained?

This is unclear - at least one detailed reviewer specifically describes it as unstaffed and neglected on a confirmed visit in 2018, despite a strong recommendation from an earlier reviewer in 2016, so I'd confirm current condition directly before planning a visit around it.

Are personal trainers available?

Yes, according to at least one reviewer specifically, who names a trainer, James, credited with developing a fully personalized program covering exercise, form, and diet.

How recent are these reviews?

They span 2015 to 2019, so I'd confirm current staffing and course conditions directly given the concerning, more recent complaint described above.

Is spinning offered?

Yes, according to at least one reviewer specifically, who describes enjoying regular spinning classes with a favorite instructor.

Euphoria Health and Fitness is the best gym around with affordable prices for a clean and friendly facility. I started training at the gym when I was 16 and I have never found a gym with such professional and caring trainers and coaches. I have gotten in the best shape of my life through the expertise of those at the gym! Classes are challenging but work and are motivating. There is also an obstacle course that is great for team building and training for a multitude of races and reasons! Give Euphoria a shot- you will not be disappointed!

I started at Euphoria about five months ago, I’m 53 years old and I was never one to have a regular exercise routine, the desire to hang out at a gym or the knowledge of how to properly exercise. I decided to join Euphoria after noticing that I just don’t have the energy that I used to and my clothes are now two or three sizes larger than a few years ago. I was introduced to James at my initial start and he quickly developed a routine just for me based on my goals and my current condition. I’m very satisfied with the equipment they have here and the professional guidance and encouragement that James provides for me. James is great and highly I recommend him to anyone that wants to have a proper exercise routine and not get hurt doing it. James will assure that your routine, form and speed as well as the weight you’re working with is correct and he can also provide advice on your diet as well. I highly recommend Euphoria and James to anyone that is looking to get into shape, he is great. James developed a routine that includes cardio as well as strength training just for me. I’m already seeing results and I plan on continuing this new relationship for years to come. This was truly a life changing experience for me and I’m grateful for all his efforts to make the most out of my time in the gym.
