Very clean gym. Nice people all around. A few employees have a bit of an attitude but but very few. Otherwise the employees are all helpful and very nice

This place would be a perfect local gym if it weren't for the music. I go multiple times a week and almost every time they are blaring Classic Rock in all the workout areas, which is really not to my taste. I don't think other people like it, either. If you look around the gym on a normal day, 90% of the people are wearing headphones. It's 2026 and everyone has their own favorite music right in their pocket/earbuds. Personally my vote would be for no music, so people can enjoy their own music (currently the speakers are loud enough that it makes it unpleasant to use headphones unless you really crank em). That's the norm in other gyms. The Classic Rock gives the whole place a macho/bro vibe that's out of step with the gym's wonderful clientele and staff.

Went to join today and bring my 14 year old son he wanted to go here like all his friends . Was told 15 a day if I brought him add that up 300 a month that would cost before this family was free with a membership which is still on website . I sat there for a hr to find this out and was told new ownership took over and it is what it is. My son was upset now he could not go due to high inflated prices. I would not recommend going there now with your kids due to extreme price hikes and not great customer service . I will be looking for another gym I live in highland and this is just sad to be honest .

Yep I’ve had enough of this gym and cancelled my membership after being a member for over 10 years: the main reason is because for some bizarre reason (and I mean bizarre) this gym insists on assaulting your nervous system with loud psychedelic/acid rock music from the last century. (And it’s not even prime music. It seems to be B side songs from this genre) As someone who suffers from a vestibular disorder, it was affecting my nervous system and my health. EarPods and earplugs didn’t work to drown out the screaming and screeching to electric guitars as if the gates of hell were opening up every time I tried to work out. My complaints to numerous people were met with indifference. My suggestions to play 21st century pop music like Equinox does, like Anytime Fitness does, like any other gym out there does was met with shrugs. It makes for a very unpleasant environment that is not conducive to fostering wellness. And this gym does not care about wellness. Plus the short weekend hours along with frequent closings are real drawbacks. The locker rooms are very dated too. See ya Mike Arteaga. Great job of reading the room with your demographic composed mainly of retirees and college students. Heading to Anytime Fitness in New Paltz.

I went to try the gym with my boyfriend so that I could become a member. I arrived the last 15 minutes before they closed and we had to pay about $15 fee for a pass, otherwise I couldn't even step into the gym to see if I liked it(??) Most places have a free pass for that matter. My boyfriend quit his membership on the spot and they truly didn't care. Very disappointing experience. Many positive reviews but also a clear negative trend. Customer service must be improved and overall policies more transparent.
