I love the community PureGym Skydome has created. The staff is so friendly and always are willing to help you out! There is such a range of equiptment (including a womens only section), and if you're unsure on what to do, the staff are always approachable to show you! It's also really spacious and clean, I love the layout. I would 10/10 recommend!
A decent gym with the equipment provided kept clean and parking provided. Great personal trainers. Top shout out to Olly an excellent trainer who cares about his clients and goes out of his way he gets 10 out of 10. The reason for a 4* and 5* the gym can get very hot especially during the heatwave puregym needs to invest on an AC system.
Gym has been great so far, spacious with good equipment across the board. Big shoutout to my PT Olly (Oliver) though, he's honestly been brilliant. I came in barely able to lift and he's built me up properly, working around my knee and back issues so I can now do deadlifts and squats comfortably. He's friendly, dedicated, keeps track of your goals and genuinely pushes you toward them. Two things could be better: the air-con just doesn't keep up with the heat and gets uncomfortable, and with a gym this size, having only one leg extension machine means there's often a wait. These would make a big difference.
When I first signed up for this gym, I wasn't completely sure it was the right choice. A year later, I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I've made. My body has changed completely, and I feel stronger, healthier, and fitter than I have in years, even in my 50s. The affordable membership has also allowed me to work with a personal trainer, Olly, who has been instrumental in helping me lose weight and tone my body. All of the trainers are knowledgeable and supportive, but Olly deserves a special mention. He is highly professional and incredibly kind (except when he's adding more weight to the bar!). His flexibility, especially his availability on Sundays, has been invaluable, as I'm very busy during the week. Of course, there are still a couple of areas that could be improved. The air conditioning in the main training rooms could be more effective, and the lockers at the entrance are in need of repair.
Overall it's a great gym with a good range of equipment. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere to train in. I train with a PT called Olly, and he's been amazing. He's friendly, knowledgeable and has really helped build my confidence using the equipment and improving my form. He's also very flexible with training times, provides great workout plans, and is always available to answer any questions or help whenever I need advice. I genuinely feel like I've made so much progress since training with him. The only area I think could be improved is the temperature in the gym. There doesn't seem to be any air conditioning, so it can get extremely hot, especially during busy periods. Sometimes the heat makes it difficult to train comfortably, and I think improving the ventilation or installing air conditioning would make a huge difference to the overall experience. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a friendly place to train, especially if you're new to the gym or considering personal training.
