57 year old Mom and extremely out of shape! I was looking for someone who would meet me where I'm at and work with me one-on-one Kickboxing (initially) building up confidence and self esteem. It's only been 2 sessions in, but I am beyond grateful that I've found my safe place at Patenaude Martial Arts where there is no judgement. If you’re wanting to try it out but feel unsure or there's a lack of confidence, Patenaude Martial Arts is the place to go!! Thank you Sifi Stephane for your warm welcome to the mats, and for accommodating me so I am able to do private sessions. A huge thanks to my new friend Vincent :) Your kind words, the encouragement, the support and those small pushes .... I'm feeling pretty sore (LOL) but thrilled that I get to come back and do it again. Eventually, I look forward to jumping in some classes and go full throttle. Great place, amazing dynamic. I pay for my son to attend and it helped boost his confidence and grounding. It has very amazing instructors that are kind and patient, not afraid to be stern when necessary! I'd take classes for myself if my schedule wasnt just the worst !! Planning on joining the team some time though rest assured! My only comment is, I wish there were more classes!
