The desk staff are always friendly and helpful at Sadhana. I very much enjoyed Jo's 4.30 pm Bikram 60 class on Sunday. Unlike other reviewers I thought, if anything, the heat was a little low for a Bikram class, but it might've been because I was standing at the edge of the group. It would be great if the studio would put on a "silent Bikram" ( set to music)for those of us who know the postures and have had enough of the Bikram dialogue (or should that be monologue!)

This is a wonderful studio and if I'd written this review a year ago, I'd give 5 stars, but now now: I love the Bikram yoga class on Tues at 10am in the big room, followed by Yin in the small room, both taught by Laura McDonald - a great teacher, one of the best. It's a brilliant combination to have the hot yoga followed by yin. The rooms are only separated by thin dividers and the yin class which is meditative with peaceful music, and a hypnotic dialogue we hear in Laura's soft voice, is in competition with a very loud Vinyasa class taught by a man whose voice and music dominates the shared space and disrupts the purpose of Yin -- making it a mere stretch class. This has only become an issue in the last year because of the change of Vinyasa teachers. Before that female teachers taught the Vinyasa and their voices and awareness of another class in progress, melded into the soundscape, and didn't dominate. I've complained about this politely more than once, but nothing changes. I wear earplugs but it's a ridiculous solution and a strain to hear Laura. What an incredibly daft decision in scheduling! It doesn't take rocket science to understand that this is bad planning. But the owners don't seem to care. We don't want to lose the Bikram and Yin on a Tues morning, and one of the other yogis heard a rumor that if there are complaints, they may cancel Laura's classes. Fix the partitions, reschedule the Vinyasa class, or find a teacher for Vinyasa who is considerate and aware and doesn't rely on partitions.

Would only recommend going in the week. The classes are very good - very hard and challenging in a good way (inferno Pilates). The heat has been different all 4 times (so not sure why that is). Good facilities to shower but very small lockers for your valuables. It seems trusting tho as everyone leaves there bags out and it's been safe every time. The weekend classes are way to busy and feels very crowded. They unfortunately do not have enough equipment (weights) for everyone to use and clean maps. I had to use no weights and the Matt was dirty but luckily had my towel. Would need to be there minimum 20 mins early to get a spot and the clean equipment you need on the weekends. This is a shame as really does put a damper on doing any weekend classes.

I didn't like either of the yoga classes I went to. The heat was way too extreme, was hard to breathe. I've been to other bikram and hot yoga classes in Miami and they were much better. The teachers took more time, paid attention, and the classes felt friendlier. None of the professors I had were friendly or empathetic. On the reception they were nice though. They didn't even ask if I had any physical issues or concerns beforehand. The first class was with a man who seemed like a machine. The lights were on full blast, and he spoke so loudly and quickly that it sounded like a recording.
