Mapledurham golf club has such good qualities. The course is extremely well maintained and although not long it still provides challenges to all handicap golfers. All members of staff are so helpful, professional and courteous making you feel welcome as soon as you enter the club. A large bar area and a newly erected outdoor area where you can enjoy drinks and great food even if your not playing golf or using the recently updated gym, swimming pool and changing rooms. It is also has a creche facility which helps those with families but also can encourages the younger ones in sporting activities. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Good value round of golf. Greens are well maintained. Couple of issues - 14 & 17 tees close together and not clearly marked. People were waiting to go off from the wrong tee. Single players appearing for a few holes before disappearing again on the back 9, gives the impression people are coming onto course without booking.

One of the bar staff was quite rude to my friends and I who were attending an event at the club. It was very disappointing to see, and made me question if it was racially motivated, as I noticed their demeanor was quite different us POCs, and upon further discussion I found that it was not only us who felt that way, but a few others aswell.

After being a member for 12 months and paying my subscription consistently, I decided to leave the club, but the experience at the end of my membership was disappointing. Facilities were inconsistent, with the spa frequently out of order, changing room cleanliness not always at the expected standard, and the gym lacking some equipment for standard training. In addition, parts of the gym are sometimes unavailable due to classes, which limits when you can actually use the facilities you are paying for. The main issue, however, was the cancellation process. After completing the full 12-month commitment, I was still required to pay for an additional month due to the notice period and automatic renewal clause. This may be within the terms, but it feels unnecessarily rigid and not particularly customer-friendly. The overall experience has left me with a poor impression, and I would recommend that anyone considering joining makes sure they fully understand the cancellation conditions before signing up. I really expected more for the price which is over £100 per month. Go careful before you join here - I won't be back. Note: although the club has repeatedly tried to advise me I was told at joining about this clause, this was 100% not the case and shows very dishonest practices.
