I see a lot of negative reviews on here, but my experience has been quite the opposite. It's an older building with older equipment, but I'm basically just there for the free weights, which they have plenty of! They also have a lot of machines (while looking outdated) that seem to work just as well as shiny new equipment. My favorite thing about this gym, compared to other gyms, is that it's nearly empty for after work hours (most of their clientele seem to be retired folk that workout in the mornings and mid-day). Locker room is big enough, although I wish the bathroom floors weren't always wet. I have never used the pools. Also, a nice little plus is that they have a boxing room with 3 bags, which I enjoy to mix up my workout. Overall, I like the older nostalgic feel to the gym and would recommend it to anyone as it's suitable to any age or fitness level. In fact, I often recommend it to my patients in the area.

Does anyone know when this gym is re-opening. Use to be my favorite place to go but I see it's been closed for 6+ months now .

I'd give this gym 3.5 stars but google doesn't allow for half-star reviews. I was a member of this gym for about a month earlier this year. The gym has the feel (or nostalgia) of working out in your basement or a high school locker room. With that being said, some of the equipment looks like it needs to be updated, and a couple of the exercise bikes no longer properly work. There is also an outdoor pool along with an indoor (heated) pool, sauna, and whirlpool. However, the locker room has a slightly moldy smell. Most of the clientele are older. Overall, the gym needs a face-lift. The normal price is $68 per month for a non-senior citizens. Sometimes they have flash sales or special promotions, so I would recommend looking out for those, but otherwise IMO the standard price is too much for a gym that needs to be updated. With one of their special promotions, I would rate the gym 4 stars, as it can be a good value. But at full price, Lifequest is only 3 stars, as there are better options in the area if you want to spend that kind of money for a fitness center.

Sadly I think i have to leave this gym, been a member for years on and off and recently I rejoined in February 2025, and been going regularly, severel things I've overlooked since I started back, when it rains the ceilings leaks badly, wouldn't be surprised mold isn't becoming a issue, they have trash cans laying around to catch the water, but this can be fixed, other issue is when I started back I was told the cheapest plan was $60 a month and not the $45 a month I used to pay, I also was charged over $200 back pay for a membership I wasn't even using but I paid it anyway, so fast forward about 5 months in I'm made aware they have a $20 a month plan anytime after 3pm, I was annoyed because I wasnt made aware of this when I asked back in February, ok I just ignored it and switched my plan to the $20 a month, the following month we are told new owners are taking over so when my bill came due they said the $20 month isn't offered anymore so I have to do a $45 a month plan. O well I just figured new owners it's new policy fine. Over the past month or so they have been taking all the equipment out to replace with new equipment, this takes time so not really a big deal I can work out different ways, but today I go in and unfortunately I think I have to change gyms, years ago the gym hours was like Monday-Friday 5am-11pm or 10pm can't remember , and Saturdays was 12am-9pm I belive and Sunday 12am-5 Now they inform us the new hours Monday-Saturday is 5am to 6pm and 5pm in sundays. How do they expect to keep people in the gym when they close so early, the biggest reason I loved this gym and overlooked everything is because it has that old school free weight gym setups and modern set up's and I could come in after I get off around 6pm and put in a couple hours, the new hour set up is basically forcing 9-5 people to find another gym, makes no sense to me, the rumor I heard before the new owners took over is that it was going to be 24 hour set up with key card, I guess they scratched that idea, giving 3 stars because I love the gym but hate the new hours, pretty much pushes me out, there target customer must be the elderly and retired , this will push most of the younger gym goers somewhere else, hopefully the reevaluate this and keep the gym open later hours, if so it would be a 5 star for me

I have never been so disgusted by a gym in my life. From the moment I stepped in, the place was an absolute nightmare. The floors were sticky, and there was a musty smell that hit you as soon as you entered - it felt like the gym hadn't been cleaned in ages. The equipment is filthy, covered in grime, and looks like it hasn't been maintained for years. The bathrooms? Don't even get me started. They're disgusting and downright unsanitary. But what made it even worse was the weight staff. The sheer incompetence and rudeness of the people working there was unbearable. They're completely unhelpful and seem to have no knowledge of how to properly assist gym-goers. It felt like they couldn't care less about ensuring a safe, clean, or welcoming environment. Not only did they ignore requests for help, but they were also condescending when I did manage to get their attention. Overall, this gym is a nightmare. The lack of cleanliness, the terrible equipment, and the awful staff make it a place I will never return to. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to work out - this gym is nothing but a health hazard.
