I've been training at Equinox Brickell for about 6 months now, and working with John has honestly been the highlight of equinox and of more than a decade of working with trainers in different states. From day one, he took the time to really understand my goals, my starting point, and my limitations. Every session is structured, intentional, and challenging - but never overwhelming. He has a great ability to push you just the right amount while maintaining perfect form, yet still keeping things positive and motivating. What really sets John apart is his attention to detail and a knowledge base that coincides with my goals; for example, I want to be a better wake surfer so in addition to strength training we include balance activities and simulation of the movements. He tracks progress and makes sure you're improving not just in strength, but in form, mobility, and overall confidence. Both myself and others have seen real, noticeable results since working with him. Beyond that, he brings great energy to every session. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in what he does. It never feels like a routine workout - it's personalized! If you're training at Equinox Brickell and are serious about getting results, I can't recommend John enough.

I just enjoyed a tour with Alex Hebert of the Equinox Fitness and Spa center located in the Four Seasons Hotel and Residence complex in Brickell. I have historically been a member at world class facilities. This Equinox facility is world class. I was graciously met by Siya M., the Director, and we had a lovely chat. Beauty is in the creature comforts, the number of activities, the app and member service which I can say are excellent. Also, there is a new Equinox opening at 575 Rosemary St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. I highly recommend the Equinox Brickell location. Self Love = care for your body, mind and Spirit.

I'm honestly still in shock by this experience with Jil Deviscour. This was my first ever Pilates class, so I chose a spot in the very back because I was unfamiliar with everything and didn't want to distract anyone. Not even 30 seconds into the class, before it had really even begun, I asked my friend for some water. It was a simple question. Jil then called us out in front of the class and asked, "Is there anything you'd like to share with the class?" I felt embarrassed, singled out, and very unwelcome. She then continued directing comments toward us and said something along the lines of, "If you have any concerns, look at me," while gesturing in our direction. As a first-time student, the interaction made me feel uncomfortable and intimidated rather than welcomed. What surprised me most is that I had approached her before class excited to get started and looking forward to taking her class. Instead, I left feeling discouraged. This was not the experience I expected from my first Pilates class. I'm not one to complain, but this genuinely upset me.

I have been an Equinox Brickell member for over a year and have always enjoyed the club and respected class etiquette. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience in a recent yoga class with instructor Jill Deviscour. My friend was attending as my guest, and we were seated all the way in the back of the room. Within the first minute of class, while in child's pose, I quietly asked my friend a brief question quietly if she wanted water. Rather than addressing the situation professionally, the instructor stopped and singled us out in front of the entire class by asking, "Is there anything you'd like to share with the class?" The comment felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive, embarrassing, and disproportionate to what had occurred. We immediately felt uncomfortable and decided to leave the class. What was even more disappointing was the instructor's response as we exited. When I began documenting the incident, she remarked that I could find her information online and "write all the reviews you want." As a long-time member, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and the confrontational manner in which this situation was handled. A simple, respectful reminder about class etiquette would have been more than sufficient. Instead, the interaction felt personal, hostile, and unwelcoming. I hope management addresses this so that other members do not have a similar experience.
