I won't go to any other gym. I've tried Crunch, Anytime, Alive, and Raintree. But nothing compares to Genesis but specifically the north location. Everyone is so kind and its such a wonderful pace.
It's shocking to me the amount of 1-star reviews based off of people wanting to cancel super quickly and not get charged for it. Like.... you've been going here 5 years and one policy changes all that? I know y'all have wasted way more money on crap off temu or Amazon. Show a little grace, my word. Anyway, I've been coming here on and off for 2 years (and always paid!) and it's amazing. I mostly use it for the classes and kids club. Kids club, they do 4 hour monthly babysitting for $30. You can leave the building. The classes are great, too. Body pump is usually full to that pressures me into not quitting. But all of the Les Mills programs are great. The instructors, too: Rikki, Morgan, Chris. Rikki especially is good at pushing people into trying more, but also seeing fatigue and relaxing when need be Great gym especially if you want classes and daycare
Was part of this gym for a couple years thanks to their climbing wall. Twas really great to climb there, even before Genesis bought Miramont. I stopped because of their policy. Tried to pause our membership for a month due to health reasons. Their policy mentions paying for the next thirty days. Unfortunately, we tried pausing in February, and they tried to charge us February and March. So the pause turned into a canceling of our membership.
Poorly managed and maintained facility. Locker rooms and showers are not cleaned well.Equipment is dirty and not well maintained. They can't even open for business reliably at the posted times.
I want to like it so bad. It's just so gross and broken down. 0/3 of the rowing machines work because there is so much dirt and dust caked on. Only one of the SIX Precor machines run smoothly. The treadmills sound like they are falling apart. I could not stop sneezing after my workout. Also, my lungs legitimately hurt. Even Crunch kept their machines in good shape and clean for less than $20/mo. I actually miss it and regret switching. Genesis is $90! I'd be happy to remove this review if someone were to just wipe down the machines and service the rowers. I'd love it if one were to work.
