Great coaches, great environment. Very glad to sign up. Our son has been training for only two months. We see a big difference on techniques and personality. There is been a huge growth and his confidence levels and we are thankful to this team. There is so many instructors for each session that you will never find your child not being watched and teach.
Its hard to put in words a place thats amazing as here. Its not just a gym, academy, public place ... its a home, it's family, a place to learn...laugh...and enhance yourself physically, mentally and internally. The team is amazing, the programs are top level and the instructors are some of the best in the community. This is one phenomenal training facility ...... Checkmat is the best!
V1sion BJJ is more than a gym, it's a family. The coaches are amazing and truly care for all of their students. If you're thinking about learning Jiu Jitsu, this is the go to place.
Jiu Jitsu has so many benefits: physical, mental, social, etc. My wife, 2 sons and I all love training here. Highest level instruction for all levels. Hard rolls met with good vibes, humility, transparency and warmth. Many of the students and I have been training together for years under Professor Marcelo ("Captain") since we began training. He and the other instructors are all very experienced and highly successful competitors who know what it takes to win- their medals are hanging at gym(s) throughout the area, as multiple time champions in gi and no gi. This is super important, so make sure to ask this or look it up when considering BJJ gyms. The kids class is no different- under the guidance of coach Annie, the kids program has over a dozen league champions and highly decorated youth boys and girls. The kids coaches care, show up to all the competitions on time and focused on coaching the kids to win. There is a system built for a winning BJJ curriculum for student development and progress; they do not make it up as they go with a move at a time or a class at a time or for multiple martial arts. They are also very kind, very good-hearted and welcoming people who care very deeply about the art of jiu jitsu and their students. You can see that is their motivation and passion, and their success is a byproduct of that. Billing and payment is all fair, clear and straightforward, no surprises, no haggling, etc. The student base is very welcoming and very diverse. There are a lot of families, a lot of upper belts who enjoy hard rolls and working with lower belts. There's the best woman's crew I have seen at a BJJ gym. If you're new you'll be welcomed with open arms...if you train already in the area this is really a great option for a program capable of developing students to win in competition or into their intermediate or advanced phases.
I am so thankful for the professors and coaches at checkmat vision. They are so knowledgeable, kind, and truly care about their students. The facility is always clean and well kept. If you're considering training I couldn't recommend this gym any more!
