I absolutely love soaking up the sun on the deck with a coffee and breakfast here. Such a great hidden gem! Food is so reasonably priced and the coffee is perfect every time.
I recently joined Club Coops and could not be happier with the experience. The facilities are modern and there are so many options, with gym, cardio, classes, lap pool, sauna, squash and tennis...The Club Coops Cafe is also a great space to chill on the deck after the gym or tennis. The front office and cafe staff are all really helpful and friendly. Club Coops is an awesome one stop shop....
the facilities are beautiful, and all of the staff are absolutely incredible, with amazing customer service and support to all members. who, of all people attending the gym, create such a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. I highly recommend. in particular, vince, as one of the receptionists was particularly exceptional. called and checked in on all the members ensuring they are all having a great experience, caring about each and every member and answering any questions or concerns they may be having!

It sounds great, tennis, Squash, Fitness, classes and a pool all in one membership. Unfortunately, the owners' only focus is attracting new members only and doesn't care about value for existing members. Behind the slick site, shiny exterior and fancy seating area are facilities that aren't properly maintained for years. Broken fitness equipment takes weeks to "get back to full fitness", including safety issues like sharp cables and loose barbel ends! The tennis courts are the worst in Brisbane, full of cracks, fences full of holes and sharp edges within players' reach. Things only got worse over the years, no improvement in sight. Nighttime pool lighting is poor since the shade sail was removed. The concrete behind the pool fence is very sharp on the feet and there are no dress facilities at the pool. (requiring walking through the entire facility in your towel) Promises of new equipment and resurfacing of courts have yet to be met. I would think twice before joining Coops now, especially with new members paying double the rate of long term members and when you see the prices in that fancy lounge area... Edit after response Coops: The owner terminated a 9 year membership over me grabbing a sticky note behind the desk to leave a message for the staff. One can only imagine the real reason for termination is the club doesn't like members that are vocal about declining value where it counts (level tennis courts, safe gym equipment), and they are best shut up by finding an excuse to terminate them. Especially when it's A20/wk. member that could be filled with a fresh oblivious 40/wk. member.
