Mo Alsanawi is the trainer who took my care as a GP referral specialist. Having completed my course, I have continued with my Gym membership and follow the workouts that Mo has written for me. He took both of my medical injuries in mind when planning which exercises and weight training apparatus to use. He is professional, compassionate and empathetic as well as having a warm, friendly personality. He continues to give advice and encouragement even though I am not a GP Referral client any longer. I cannot thank him enough for his support and knowledge. He is helping me to regain strength and mobility in a safe, welcoming environment.

Moe is not only in my opinion the best pt in this gym but best Pt I met period. He’s the only person that was able to make me commit and show up 3/4 times a week and motivated every time. And makes it so easy and comfortable to build a friendship level trust where you feel comfortable enough telling him what’s going on and how he helps does wonders. I appreciate Moe for making the gym feel like my morning coffee if I don’t have one then something feels off. Hope to keep this level with him at all times 🙏

I recently purchased a swim and spa membership and have had a mixed experience so far. On the positive side, the cleanliness of the facilities is excellent and probably the best I’ve experienced. Although the rusty chairs need replacing. The changing rooms are always spotless, the showers are clean, and the spa facilities are good. The sauna, hydro pool, steam room, and relaxation room provide a pleasant environment to unwind. Unfortunately, there have been several issues with the membership and customer service experience. I was asked on three separate occasions to complete my membership paperwork from reception, only to be told each time that it couldn’t be found. When it was eventually located, I provided my concession ID, but was told it didn’t need to be scanned. I later received a rather blunt email stating that I still needed to provide ID, despite already having done so. There have also been some ongoing maintenance and operational issues. The water fountain has been out of order for around three weeks, the hot water for the complimentary teas is often empty, and the facilities have been closed on multiple occasions without any reimbursement or membership credit being offered. As a new member, I found the induction process lacking. I wasn’t given a tour or shown where the facilities were located, which would have been very helpful. For my first three visits, I wasn’t provided with a fob or wristband, and nobody explained that these were required to access certain areas. I frequently had to ask where facilities were and was usually told rather than shown. As a result, I spent time walking around trying to find things, got locked out of areas, and had to rely on other members for help, which was quite embarrassing. Ironically, I now find myself helping newer members find their way around. Whilst the staff are generally friendly, I feel there is room for improvement in terms of customer service experience and member onboarding. Communication between departments also appears inconsistent. That said, I did receive good customer service from the membership team after raising my concerns. I had also been told over the phone that complimentary flip-flops were included with my membership, but these were not provided until I contacted the membership team directly. Overall, the facilities themselves are good, clean, and enjoyable to use. However, the administration, communication, and new member experience need improvement to match the quality of the spa and leisure facilities.

Terrible value for money if you are just a gym goer - in fact not a great gym overall The staff at the gates are rarely friendly to begin with. The facility operates on a gate system where you have to scan the QR code to enter. However, telephone signals here are close to nothing (1 bar) and the WiFi is also a pain, so people often get stuck at the gate and the receptionist has to get your full name to allow entry. Alternatively, you can pay for £3 for the fob - so what exactly is the joining fee for? The gym area is also tiny given how big the facility is, and overall not worth the price. There has been some shuffle around in Jan/Feb time, with the free weights area being quite popular. I am unsure why the management thought it would be a good idea to squeeze another bench press in. The free weights area used to sit 6 benches comfortably and spaced out along a preacher curl bench at the corner. Whereas the bench press took the preacher curl bench’s spot and the latter is sat right next to a normal bench (doesn’t show well as I used 0.5 lens). In fact, I saw a coach asking one of his students to demonstrate how he does curls behind someone’s inclined bench (who is also exercising) at 18:11. They’re within 50cm apart, surely that is a health and safety hazard in making? The other machines are relatively finely spaced out but overall charging this price for not a very enjoyable gym section… I would go elsewhere if I have a car. The gym (and bathroom) is also terribly warm, I know we are here to sweat it out, but I would prefer that I produce sweat through my workout instead of the room temperature being too hot to begin with. The bathroom can also do a lot more better, I am not sure if it’s because it’s connected to the sauna section but the bathroom/changing area doesn’t smell nice at all, and it seems like the bathroom schedule is not being strictly followed.
