Fitness 2000 24HR Health Club

I personally prefer Fitness 2000 over the other gyms in Wichita because of all the equipment they have and heavy weights. They're open 24 hours with a swimming pool, steam room, and sauna room that will make you sweat your butt off. Never had a issue with waiting on a bench or equipment...trust me there's plenty of metal to move around ..plus tell me what other gym where you see the owner working out too?? haha Overall 5 stars!!! great for all ages.

This gym is terrible... If you are a female, please, DO NOT go to this facility by yourself. I've been followed and harassed on multiple occasions by other members, so I no longer go without my boyfriend. The equipment is in need of a major overhaul, which by how much money they take from individuals, they should be able to do, but for some reason, they neglect this. Half of my workout would consist of putting away others' weights and equipment before staging my own. This is the most aggravating process. To see an employee who has probably been there, on shift, for a while, not put away their own equipment after a workout, speaks to the level of accountability they hold (poor). The pool has been closed by the City of Wichita before, due to "environmental hazards". Tiles are molded and cracked in the steam room. I suggest not going without a towel to sit on. The bathrooms are terrible, which people will leave personal items laying around (today, I saw a bar of soap on the sink with little curly hairs in it). The lifting bars are damaged, and warped making lifting dangerous. There are loose grips on machines, and equipment is dirty and needs to be supervised. The floors are not something you want to workout on without some sort of gloves or sanitary spray handy with you. I've seen individuals walking wet and barefoot (with water dripping from them) across the main areas of the gym. No supervision is given to this, which is desperately needed. I have gone to the staff to voice my concerns on multiple occasions, to which they have given answers but have not fixed the issue. They are nice people, but I guess they can't help having poor management. I HIGHLY SUGGEST finding another facility, and if you are in need of 24 hours access, do some researching and you'll find places monumentally better than this one.

You are forced into a 3 year contract with absolutely no wiggle room. The equipment is poor to average at best. Most of the cardio equipment is old and needs a very good tune up with replacement parts, or total replacement in general, and it is all crammed together. The plate loaded weight machines are in decent functional shape, if you don't count the boogers and gum that are on them. The weights themselves are always scattered around the weight room waiting for you to trip over them. Maybe once a month they have the weights put back on the weight-tree for proper storage. Every barbell is warped and unbalanced. Half of the facility is covered in carpet. Carpet in gym is probably the biggest no-no in the fitness world. It may have been blue at one point but is now stained black/brown where people continually walk along. The have carpet in the locker rooms and allow their guests to walk barefoot freely to and from the locker rooms to the swimming pool area. I've seen the carpet be shampooed/sanitized once, but it was not the entirety of the carpet, just the one or two spots around the gym. The majority of the staff are fine people, nice, and approachable. The owner seems indifferent to the guests concerns though. Another employee there is similar, leaving the the cord to the vacuum strewn over the weight room, another trip hazard. I've also seen him walking barefoot from the pool area to the locker room, barefoot, with a definite case of athlete's foot, or some kind of foot fungus. All in all, most of the staff are nice. The facility is in definite need of a major overhaul. The low monthly fee will attract you, but you will be locked in there for at least 3 years. Do more research, find a facility that is better suited/more modern with up to date equipment and common sense of cleanliness.

Stay away from these people.. Over 2 years ago, this company allowed a criminal to open an account with my social security. I highly question the integrity and due diligence to verify if such person is the one opening an account. These past 2 years have been hell trying to find out a contact number from the collector calling to pay such debt. Finally today I called and in Fitness 2000 and in a nice way I asked if I had an account and they said yes and you are in collection. I immediately told them that I have never lived in Kansas and I have never opened a membership anywhere in my life. I told them that they allowed someone to open an account falsely using my social security number and that is why I said criminal in the beginning. I asked to speak with the owner of the company so I could solve this before taking another method. the manager named CHIEN replied, take us to court as if she did not care. Well and with that in mind, I started the process already Today 3-8-17, the Wichita Police Dept is aware this situation, they have opened a case on my behalf and they have also assigned a detective to look into it. And the story does not end here, I already started conversation to file a civil law suit for their lack of verification process they used in that place. This company should not be allowed to be in business and if they are, they need to ensure they don't affect anyone's lives financially.

I used to be a member here. READ YOU'RE CONTRACT THOROUGHLY!!!! They will put you in a binding contract with no way of breaking from it. These guys are quick to send you to court for collections. The owner doesn't care about his customers all he's in it for is for the money.
