TruFit - Gym in San Antonio

I love the Walzem location of Tru Fit. It is definitely the cleanest of the clubs and the friendliest. It is a great affordable option for anyone looking to start their gym experience. The GM is the most helpful as well. Can't say enough good things.

I have had THE WORST experience with this gym in every aspect. Anywhere else I go you get your money's worth. They have horrible customer service, their billing and accounting office is no help. I had to resolve something on my own because they do not communicate well at all. They had me jumping back and forth from their corporate office to the local office it was ridiculous. I do not recommend this place to my family or friends or anyone in general for the manner they attend things.

Was curious about joining this gym so I called and was told I could come in, receive a tour, and get a free workout as part of a free trial. As soon as I began to fill their questionnaire an eager gentleman (trainer) approached me and interrupted the conversation I was having with the front desk. He told me I would not be able to workout that night & proceeded to try and charge me $15 if I wanted to workout. He was very rude to not only me & the 2 people I brought with, but also to his co worker who was working the front desk.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone. The place is not kept clean and sanitary. I had been going to the gym for about 2 years when it was initially Freedom Fitness. At that time the gym was kept clean and the equipment wasn't broken constantly. I have emailed corporate regarding the gym and have not received a response. This gym does not value the customer. The staff is very unprofessional and is not friendly. Be careful if you try to cancel your membership, I read the reviews prior to canceling and noticed many reviews mentioned how their card was still being charged after cancellation and the gym was not refunding the client. It would be best to cancel your card after you cancel your membership to prevent unnecessary chargers to your bank account. Since, canceling I have created my own home gym, which is clean and all of the equipment works. Good riddance Tru Fit!
