Great gym, really huge place with loads of equipment so even in busy periods I've never been waiting to use anything like in some previous gyms. Good sized changing rooms,with plenty of lockers, good showers, water always nice and hot, and there's even hairdryers for you to use after showering which is a nice touch, there's a sauna on the premises too which is nice and relaxing after a workout, apparently there are a ton of classes you can attend as well included in your membership fee, but again not my kind of thing so can't comment on them. Good sized car park to rear of gym so parking not a problem. Another great thing I find about this gym is its location right on the sea front so after a good workout I get to enjoy a nice relaxing walk home with sea views, All in all I would heartily recommend, great gym

My local gym only 10 mins away , never had any dramas with the actual gym , staff are good , machines are decent and if broken , they never are for long. The usual people sat on machines scrolling rubbish on phones but thats just society now, would be happy if phones were banned but will never happen. Gets busy at usual hours but never seen it overran. Seen a few complaints about changing rooms but this gym is really good if come in , train and go home. More than happy with it. As a member who travels round UK using other JD Gyms, this is DEFINITELY of the better ones . Don't use wolverhampton JD Gym Absolutely shocking !

This gym is an absolute disgrace and the conditions are completely unacceptable. The temperature inside is intolerable. The air conditioning is not working, there are no windows that can be opened, the ventilation is woefully inadequate, and the entire building feels like an overcrowded furnace. Attempting to exercise in these conditions is not merely uncomfortable; it presents an obvious and serious health and safety concern. Members are being expected to complete strenuous workouts in extreme heat while surrounded by hundreds of other people in a poorly ventilated building. The air feels suffocating, the equipment is constantly overcrowded, and the environment is completely unsuitable for safe or effective training. What makes this situation even worse is the apparent refusal by JD Gyms to deal with it properly. Members have repeatedly complained, yet the problem continues. There appears to be no urgency, no accountability and no meaningful concern for the welfare of paying customers. It is utterly disgraceful for a large and profitable company to continue collecting full membership fees while failing to provide even the most basic acceptable training conditions. A functioning ventilation and air-conditioning system should not be considered an optional luxury in a packed commercial gym. It is a fundamental requirement. Members have reportedly become unwell and collapsed in the excessive heat, yet customers are still being expected to tolerate the same conditions. The apparent indifference shown towards these complaints is appalling. JD Gyms should not wait for someone to be seriously harmed before taking action. The overcrowding is equally unacceptable. The gym is frequently packed beyond any reasonable level, making it difficult to access equipment or complete a proper workout. Combined with the extreme temperature and lack of airflow, the experience is unbearable. This is easily the worst gym I have ever used. The conditions are unsafe, the management of the situation has been shameful, and the continued failure to resolve it shows complete contempt for paying members. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to stay well away. Existing members should not be expected to risk their health while JD Gyms continues to ignore the problem and take their money. The air conditioning and ventilation need to be repaired immediately, membership numbers need to be managed properly, and affected members should be compensated for being charged to use facilities that are currently unfit for purpose.

USE OF PHONES TO TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS IN MALE CHANGING ROOMS UNACCEPTABLE. As a Senior Citizen who likes to keep fit I joined JD Gym Cleveleys in early 2025. I was impressed with the size of the gym area and the amount of equipment. The cleanliness of the equipment and the gym was pretty good and cleaners were visible most of the time. There are usually a few JD Personal Trainers walking about but no one ever asked me if I needed any advice or help. It may be due to my being from a completely different age group I dont know, but disappointing. My main area for criticism is the male changing rooms. In my opinion they are totally inadequate for the number of users at busy times. This is aggravated by people blocking the use of benches by leaving their bags on them whilst they exercise instead of using a locker. The toilets are quite often filthy. I now get to my main concern the use of mobile phones in the changing rooms, they stand about posing and taking photos of their muscles. This has become more and more prevelant since I joined, most of the older gym users find it unacceptable, it is something done by younger men without any thought for other people. I found it disrespectfull to other gym users, an invasion of my personal space and something the JD Management should stop it. I spoke to staff about it on two occasions the first I was told to ask them to stop I had already tried this and it ended up confrontational bearing in mind I am in my 70's. The second and final time I spoke to two male staff who told me gym users were allowed to takes photographs in the changing rooms but not in the main gym area. I still find this hard to believe but its not for me and I have cancelled my membership.
