Ilovekickboxing Skokie

I started KB about 9 weeks ago. I LOVE it. Each coach brings something different and it's Always a good workout. It is tough in the beginning, but over time it gets easier as your brain to body connection and muscle memory develops. I look forward to my workouts. It's such a good workout and as a busy full time working mom of 3 kids, I find that this is the well needed workout and break/decompression that I need. I've also lost over 10lbs since beginning, and the shape of my body has changed also. I look great and I feel even better!

I purchased the 5 classes for my daughter for her birthday and thought I would sign up too for the 5 classes. I wanted the Park Ridge location but for some reason got the Skokie location which is not convenient and took 35 minutes to get there. When I called to transfer to Park Ridge, I was told I had to call The Corporate office which I did and no one ever returned my call. So we decided to go to Skokie. The instructor Jeremy and assistant Joaquin were amazing. We had a great workout until the very end when we were given the opportunity to join the club. The manager/owner was very pushy and wasn't empathetic at all about the mix up between locations and the travel time When I explained the location mix-up, she asked if I left the correct phone number as if it was my fault that the corporate office had not returned my call. Then she said, we will see you both next week and she would give us a better deal on the membership. She made it seem as though we were not allowed back unless we purchased a membership. She needs to give people a chance to see how amazing her staff is. We probably would have joined even though it was far because the instructors were energetic, fun, and most of all encouraging. We decided not to return the following week because the manager was just too pushy. The sad part is that they have not called or emailed to find out why we haven't returned. We lost out on 4 classes but obviously they don't care. Disappointed!!!

Loved the classes but I had the same issue as many other reviewers. The only way to get them to stop charging you (which is honestly way too much money anyways) is to ask your bank for a new card, dispute charge or jump through many hoops to cancel, even if you follow the rules to cancel membership. Save yourself the headache, look up kickboxing tutorials which will do you just as good.

Really wanted to love this place, but seems like a scam. I signed up online for a 6 week free trial. Received text confirmation almost immediately, and several more reminder texts. Then, early afternoon on the day my initial consultation was scheduled for I received a phone call from a very upbeat employee telling me about the major weight loss they see. I was super pumped up after the call. I should have known better because what sounds too good to be true IS too good to be true. The same employee called me a few hours before our appointment to tell me the last free spot has just been taken, but I could come in and look at the paid programs. Super shady and not a good practice at all.
