It's a lovely spot with an abundance of waterbirds. You can take leisurely walks or bike rides around the area. Highly recommended for spending quality time with family and friends.
This lake is a great lake to walk around within 45 minutes. There is so much to see during summer and Spring with many different varieties of Fauna and Flora. And on dusk, you can see all the toads come out and hop right in front of you. Great park to walk your dog. Has an amazing Children's playground in 2 different spots. You can come and have parties because there are free BBQ's and toilet facilities. Before you leave, make sure you walk to the bridge and view the turtles. Best time to see them is in the morning when they come and swim to see you with their little heads popping out of the water. Make sure you don't feed them as the council asks you not to feed the wildlife there. You also can see lizards in the bush and the mazing colourful Pukekos that wander around the lake. Warner Lakes also has large grassy playing areas where you can kick a ball around or play Frisbee. The people in the community are friendly and the park is never empty.

Absolutely love living here and walking the dogs around the lake and all the wildlife. The kids love the many playgrounds and everyone is very friendly.
Second time visiting the lake this morning. Street parking is available. Didn't have any issues getting a park. This time, I walked the dog the whole way around. Based on other reviews, I factored in 45 mins. This estimation was rather accurate. Concrete paths wrap around the lake (wide enough to push a pram) except for one section where you need to walk on residential streets. It's pretty obvious how to get back to the water's edge. We spotted and checked out the nearby dog park. Amenties: - there are few separate playgrounds - a toilet block - (limited) exercise equipment - a few BBQs (that looked really clean) - bike rack by the water - a couple of look out spots where you can check out the birdlife/ get closer to the water - picnic spots - grassy areas - several rubbish bins - drinking tap We enjoyed our walk. There were other people walking/ exercising at the time. I imagine it'd be busier on the weekends. It's well maintained. Shout out to the council.
