Great gym that I used to utilize regularly until I moved. Great staff and flexible membership options. Has a variety of different equipment for weight-lifting and cardio. Also has a basketball court that I would use regularly. Overall a very cost effective option; and one of the few gyms in Amherst. Also great that it has a pool, and sauna as well.
The staff is not helpful and it’s always crowded. I have not been able to use my membership and it is not cheap. People take their kids to bathe and the locker rooms are a screaming disaster. Unless you are a college student or otherwise don’t care, do not bother Edit: holy cow they are so aggressively anti-customer service that they called me to tell me why I’m wrong about asking to transfer the last 3 months of the membership I can’t use to my son who can. FINE. I am SO DONE WITH THIS PLACE
Poor facilities. Very dusty and unsanitary. Sanitation stations do not exist at this area leading to unclean equipment. This affects yoga mats as well, wiping is not a precedent at this location. This can lead to fungal infections! Very little room to re rack plates which causes precarious situations. Equipment is old and heavily interfered by classes held in the large basketball space. I do not recommend this gym unless they update their facilities and cleaning practices.
Horrible facility with very poor, old quality equipment. I have only gone to this gym a few times but every time I have been there, there is an older man who sits up front and has never been kind. I asked him a question and he rolled his eyes and gave me a bland response as if I was wasting his time. Knowing I am paying $15 for a day pass to use the facility, there should be some respect and the equipment should be better.
