I don't understand the negative reviews on here, all my experiences have been amazing. The staff are really friendly especially Jake and Liz, and quick to resolve any issues that may arise. I have been to many gyms before but never received such high levels of customer service, I feel like the staff actually care about my fitness. The new functional area is great with loads of room for ab work so the below review is baffling. I would recommend this gym to everyone!
I don't get the negative reviews on here. I always think the staff are great (Isobel is especially good) and the facilities are very good. They have some great Personal Trainers (if that's what you're in to) and the Monday circuit class with Craig is quality. Perfect balance of free weights, machines and CV equipment. Functional floor area is smashing. Nice pool, decent steam room and jacuzzi. Like I say, I don't understand the negative reviews. Plus, the place is now under new management and seems to be improving further.
Shabby, loads of repairs go unrepaired. Tiles around the pool dropped and have had cones on for weeks, plastic grids round the pool missing for weeks - very dangerous. Steam room out of use for over 2 weeks. Soap dispensers in men's showers have black mould on the inside. Lockers not cleaned out. Seen a crisp packet in the same locker for a week. Things break and when they do get round to look at it , all they do is remove, seats in changing room needed recovering. Just removed it , not enough seats now. Emailed a complaint a week ago and still haven't had a reply. The gym is in serious need of money spending on it, numerous members leaving due to issues.
Nice enough gym and staff but I was told to take a years membership even after explaining to staff I was leaving the country within 6 months. I was told at the time it would be 'easy' to cancel this membership with proof of change of address. Fast forward 6 months and I am now being hassled by debt collectors for a debt I have already paid. Shocking service and staff clearly pushed to sign people on longer plans even when it's not best for them.
good gym, but the cleanliness is definitely a disgrace. The spa area gets cleaned once a day apparently and sometimes the odour is quite bad, this area is used by many people and should be cleaned throughout the day. The showers/changing area is not thoroughly cleaned. The spa and Changing areas needs a serious professional clean. myself and others have complained many times but the hygiene is atrocious and the cleanliness has not improved at all. I'm literally having to shower at home due to poor cleanliness.
