A fantastic gym that I frequent. They have pretty much anything you could ask for in a gym; they have a climbing wall with free shoes and harnesses to borrow, a three lane track, bikes, weights, other equipment, medicore locker rooms, showers, and three courts for various activities. I suppose the only thing they don't have is a working weight scale. If you're a UAF student like me and are taking classes, you do not need to pay; the fee for the gym is already included in your tuition. For UAF students not taking classes in the summer, it is $50 for the season. What a fantastic deal and an amazing place.

Caught Senior Day for men’s basketball at the Student Recreation Center during my trip to Fairbanks and the place was packed. The Alaska Nanooks were taking on the Montana State University Billings Yellow Jackets and the atmosphere was fantastic. It is a solid facility with strong community support and a welcoming energy. The pool area is especially lovely. Overall, it is a great place to catch a game, stay active, or connect with the local community.

I visited the museum with my kids. We enjoyed the areas with wild animals and history the most. This location offers amazing views from the top of the hill over the city of Fairbanks. Parking was free on the weekend. They required face masks to get in. There is a gift shop, movie theater and a kids area. Very nice museum. Highly recommended
