Went there to take part in an Ultra White Collar Boxing event. Seemed like a very well run Leisure Centre, very clean and well maintained.
Spent a joyful full weekend here for the second year running, watching my daughters perform in a circus arts competition. Credit where it’s due: the facilities are impeccably adequate. The Costa at reception offered the reassuring tang of fresh-from-the-carton UHT milk, the toilets hovered confidently in the “mostly clean” category, and the building itself evoked a kind of Brittas Empire chic; beige combined with jarring splashes of primary colour, low ceilings and quiet despair. The sun shone, so I created a makeshift sunbathing area using the ample resources available from the skip in the car park, and reflected on how beautifully the place captures the spirit of 1980s architectural optimism, gently reimagined as modern municipal sadness. A blissful way to spend a spring weekend, and absolutely worth the 05:30am start, not in the slightest bit undermined by the lingering aroma of stale sweat and the sense that time, much like the decor, stopped trying sometime around 1993.
We didn’t attend the club itself but after a recent, very hot football tournament here I can say it was well prepared with great food, drinks & a fab ice cream van 😃 bouncy castle & all. No dogs allowed though.
Just had a martial arts training course here. It's a great place to train. Excellent equipment. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Thank you very much.
My son had a boxing match there it was good atmosphere very busy
