DW Fitness First Burnley

I've been several times since joining and it's a great little gym. Situated on the 1st floor above the DW Sports Store, it has lots of windows, so it's nice and light without passers by being able to stare in and the atmosphere isn't flat and dull like the boxed-in feeling I got when I used to train at the Blackburn town center site. For £13 per month, there's no pool or classes, but what you do get is somewhere spotlessly clean with very helpful, friendly staff, lots of high end cardio machines, weight machines, a spacious well equipped free-weights section & an excellent changing facility with showers. It's conveniently located right next to some bus stops that ferry me back and forth from Accrington & there's a handy Subway across the road for re-fueling after a tough training session.

It's cheap and cheerful, no frills, but functional with plenty of equipment. Doesn't usually get too busy. Only thing I wish it had was a sauna, but hey, what do you expect for around a tenner a month? Showers are decent enough too, often a complaint with cheap gyms.
