I trained at this gym for 2 months while staying in London, and have to say it offers great value for money. The classes are generally a short 30 mins but impactful and you get a great work out in that time. I have to give a special shout out to Conor, he is a genuinely happy soul, motivating and encouraging members whatever level they are at. I have not had a pt with him but his emails are very motivational. I loved the women’s work out area, a great place to escape from the gym bros. My main frustration was the wifi, but they have recently upgraded it, still some dead spots in the women’s work out areas. it’s a great gym if you download your workouts in advance.

1 star for the most INFURIATING useless showers, designed to put members off- 7 meters high, wide spray so impossible to wash thick hair, and no option to shower and keep your hair dry. Really. This needs actioned. And it has the opposite effect of saving water as you need to stay under twice as long. 5 stars for the legend that is Simon. Today’s burn class with a soundtrack featuring the Las and Madonna’s ‘get into the grove’ is the best fun I’ve had for some time.

I have gone to this gym for around two years and I like it. The refurbishment has really improved the place, particularly the women’s section (although the WiFi doesn’t work in there, which would be good if that could be fixed). Overall, there is a good range of equipment and I enjoy coming here. It would be helpful if in the mixed section there were mirrors near the squat racks like before, but perhaps that isn’t possible due to the new layout. It isn’t a big issue to me as the women’s part does have mirrors behind the squat racks. My only real complaint is the aircon - it is poorly regulated. In the summer, it is always really low or non existent. The women’s bit in particular ends up getting too hot. Whereas in the winter time, it is way too high. If you are resting between sets or stretching it gets really cold. The last few months I have been freezing!

This gym is kept in a positively shameful state. Part of it is crowding; part of it is member etiquette… but I find I spend almost as much time picking up after other people to make machines usable as I do actually completing my workouts. On the bright side, you do get extra steps on your scavenger hunt to find matching plates
