I joined this gym about 2 months ago and LOVE it. Some of the equipment is a little outdated but it’s always available and plenty of space to do your work out. I love having the option to workout in either the open workout area or the private classrooms (when they’re open). The staff is really friendly and helpful. My first day I walked in and they gave me a full tour and made sure all my questions were answered. I recommend joining the RAC.

The facilities are pretty good. There are a good number of treadmills, probably way too many bikes since I rarely see anyone on more than a couple and some of the classes are pretty good. My problem is with the personal training and just the overall management. My experience was not good. You pay extra, $150 for 6 sessions. My trainer chit chatted through every lesson so I could barely concentrate on what I should remember to do when I'm on my own. I didn't think too much about it at the time because I thought I would get a summary at the end. The worst part of her chit chat let me know her character. Twice I was asked if I found something "too ghetto." I'm sure you can figure out what that means. My last session never happened. I had to cancel the morning of the session, which I understand is usually bad form but it was truly an emergency. They didn't care. Well the trainer didn't. The girl who took my call said it would be fine, but my trainer didn't care enough. Less than 24 hours cancellation so I had to lose it. I then asked if I could at least have the exercises written down for me. I picked up from the front desk a piece of paper, torn out of a notebook, with cryptic notes. No description, no weight, just "cable back rows, 5-6, cable flyes-1, front raises-3"etc. huh? I found it extremely unprofessional. When my membership runs out I will be finding a new place.

Just make sure if you join this club and you'd like your membership terminated that you give them written notice. I called and spoke with a young lady who told me my year membership would automatically end. She gave me the wrong information and I was charged for two more months following that. They DID NOT reimburse me for those two months. Poor training of their employees on managements part.

The facility is ok and the instructors are nice but the customer service is horrendous. After cancellation they take 30 days to process it and make you pay extra for one more month. I wonder to process a credit card for payments it takes a mere second but to process a cancellation why should it take a month and on top of that an extra payment. They are just trying to squeeze out as much money as possible, it’s very unethical. Also too much pressure to join their personal training sessions, I have seen the trainer and it’s a joke except for Becca, she is awesome. So beware of their hidden terms, too much ambiguity to trust. Please join YMCA instead or any other gym for that matter.
