Vfit Centre - Gym in England, United Kingdom

Hall, United Kingdom

A former RAF member who wrote in November 2023 laid out the honest pitch for VFit better than any brochure could: he'd "seen countless specialists, physios, chiropractors" and done injury rehab courses in the service, and said Vicky "has helped me manage my chronic pain and improve my mobility more than everyone put together." Note what he's really reviewing. Not a gym floor. A person.

What this actually is

VFit is listed under a stack of tags - yoga studio, fitness center, massage, sports school - but read five reviews and the picture collapses to one thing: Vicky. She teaches the yoga, runs the hot yoga classes, and does the sports massage. This is a small, coach-led studio in Hayle, Cornwall, built around a single practitioner, not a walk-in gym with rows of machines. That's the most important thing to understand before you judge the 4.8 rating.

Where the voices agree

They agree hard on two points. First, the injury and pain work. A reviewer in November 2023 said Vicky "has saved my career," describing tendinitis from manual labour that was making his job "nearly impossible." A builder and runner writing back in September 2019 recommended the sports massage for keeping "those aches and pains at bay." Different years, same story: people come in with a specific physical problem and leave managing it.

Second, the room feels friendly. A first-time yoga student in November 2022 admitted the idea was "a bit daunting" but said Vicky "put me at my ease instantly." The word "banter" shows up in more than one review. If class anxiety is what's kept you away from yoga, that's a signal worth weighing.

What the average is measuring

Here's the math nobody tells you. With only 17 ratings, a single one-star review would drag that 4.8 down to roughly 4.6. This is a small-sample score, so don't read 4.8 as statistically bulletproof - read it as "a small, devoted group rates this highly." And the sample is selective by nature: people who book one-on-one sports massage and small yoga classes are already predisposed to like the personal attention. You're buying access to one coach's knowledge and hands-on time. If that's what you want, the reviews say it delivers. If you wanted anonymity and a big equipment floor, the model is wrong for you.

What's missing

Not one review states a price - not for a massage, not for a yoga class, not for a package. Nobody lists a full class timetable either, though the Places hours show weekday mornings and afternoons, closing at 5pm and shut on the weekend in the record I can see. For a studio this personal, ring +44 7704 000759 to book; drop-in isn't the model here.

Who it's not for

If you train alone, lift heavy, and want 24-hour swipe access, skip it. This is hands-on rehab, massage, and small-group yoga run by one person. The whole value is that she remembers your ailments by name.

Saying I highly recommend Vicky/vfit is an absolute understatement! At this point, I have seen countless specialists, physios, chiropractors and even attended multiple injury rehabilitation courses at Headley Court whilst I was in the RAF. Vicky has helped me manage my chronic pain and improve my mobility more than everyone put together! The sports massages, yoga instruction and knowledge she's given me since my very first appointment has been genuinely priceless! She's made such a huge difference to my physical and mental well-being and I honestly can't thank her enough for all that she's done for me!

No word of exaggeration when I state that Vicky has saved my career!! When I started working in manual labour I had very painful tendinitis which was making my job nearly impossible and I was on the verge of giving up. Vicky fixed this and various other problems I've had along the way with sport massages and yoga classes and she is now my go to for any muscular ailment. Classes are informative and inclusive with a good portion of humour. Highly recommended!!

After years of back troubles, I was recommended to see Vicky for a sports massage and warm yoga. I haven't looked back her knowledge is incredible and has helped me no end. I was a bit apprehensive about trying yoga and found the whole idea a bit daunting, as I have never done a class like this before. How wrong I could be! From the minute I walked into VFit the friendly atmosphere was great. Vicky walks around all the time talking you through what you're doing and encouraging all the time. The banter is great with everyone, you couldn't find a friendlier bunch.

Tonight I attended hot yoga being taught by Vicky. As a yoga novice I wasn't sure what to expect but Vicky was an excellent teacher and put me at my ease instantly. Vicky's personality can only be described as infectious, her love for teaching yoga and also the interest she has in the people in the class (knowing ailments/conditions and even their pastimes outside of yoga) was obvious and I really enjoyed the banter she has with me and the other participants. Can't wait to get back next week 👍

Love body pump and cannot recommend hot yoga enough....it's brilliant for me as a builder and runner to keep those aches and pains at bay. Vicky's sport massage is highly recommended too......she has a great knowledge of the body and sports related (and everyday) injuries. Whether you're a beginner or fitness fanatic there is something at Vfit for you👍🏾
