Coach Tool

Search training articles

When you ask a how or why question, the coach can search Gym Navigator's training articles and cite them. Instead of a generic answer, you get a pointer to a real write-up you can read in full. It's the difference between "trust me" and "here's where this comes from."

search_blog

What it does

  • Searches Gym Navigator's library of training articles by topic.
  • Returns titles and short summaries with a link to each full article.
  • Lets the assistant cite a source instead of answering from thin air.

Example prompts

You don't call the tool yourself. You just ask, in plain language, and your assistant works out the rest. Here's what that looks like:

You ask

How often should I actually train each muscle group?

What happens

The coach searches the blog for training-frequency articles and answers with a summary plus a link to the full piece.

You ask

Whats the deal with progressive overload?

What happens

It runs search_blog with "progressive overload", reads back the gist, and links you to the article for the detail.

Inputs

For the curious, here's what the assistant fills in behind the scenes when it calls search_blog:

query required What you want to read about, e.g. "progressive overload".
limit optional Max results to return.
